The spot play is a horse that gets a "s" before their letter grade and indicates an especially strong wager for the day. See video above which covers all the races in July.
The good news is the Win ROI is 1.30 with $32,094 returned on $24,700 wagered on 247 races through mid Sept.. The Place/Show ROI is 0.76. This shows the overall weakness of P/S wagering for longer priced horses.
